The AresGate 2000 is ARESCOM's latest and most innovative wireless access point solution that compactly integrates all the features of a SOHO (Small Office & Home Office) Residential Gateway and an Enterprise Wireless Gateway product. With its rich and highly-versatile feature sets, the AG2000 provides the most economic wireless solution for meeting a variety of applications.

Based on the IEEE 802.11b standard, the AresGate 2000 Series allows mobile users to maintain a wireless connection to the LAN via a radio connection while roaming around a building or campus environment with a portable computer device, such as a notebook, laptop, or other hand-held devices. Implementing the latest wireless modulation technology (DSSS), the AresGate 2000 Series guarantees maximum noise immunity to residential and office broadband interference and offers four speed options (11Mbps, 5.5Mbps, 2Mbps and 1Mbps), covering an ideal combination of throughput and ranges. At 11Mbps, the router can cover a maximum range of 300 feet in an open space office environment.

The AresGate 2000 Series delivers robust enterprise-level, wireless network security, which utilizes the IEEE 802.1x protocol to perform user-based access control.
