Features
- Diagnostic
- Upgrade Firmware
- Dial-On-Demand Log
- Reset Router
Explanation
- Upgrade Firmware
Click Tools in the EZRider Manager, and then select the Upgrade Firmware
tab.
You can download software upgrades to the EZRider using the Upgrade
Firmware feature. You can obtain upgrade firmware files from ARESCOM's
web site, or you can ask an ARESCOM customer support specialist to
send you the latest firmware file on a 3.5" floppy disk. Once
you receive your firmware file:
1. Insert the diskette in your floppy disk drive or download
the file to your hard disk drive.
2. From the Upgrade Firmware panel, select the appropriate
drive, directory or file folder to locate the firmware file.
3. Choose the firmware file (*.bin) and then click Upgrade.
- Dial-On-Demand Log
Click Tools in the EZRider Manager, and then select the Dial-On-Demand
Log tab.
You can monitor the real-time dial-out activity to see what is triggering
analog modem dial-on-demand. Every time dial-on-demand is triggered
while the log is open, the log will list the trigger time, host (source)
IP address, the host (source) MAC address, protocol and port (destination).
You can save the Dial-On-Demand log by simply clicking on the Save
Event Log button. You will be prompted to specify a filename and location
to save the log.
- Reset Router
Click Tools in the EZRider Manager, and then select the Reset Router
tab.
You can reset your router from the Reset Router tab. Select the Delete
Configurations check box if you want to remove all your custom settings
while resetting your router. Otherwise, if you do not select the check
box, the router will simply reboot.
If you have deleted your custom configuration, you will need to reconfigure
your router after it has rebooted. Remember that internetworking connectivity
is not possible with an unconfigured router. To reconfigure your parameters,
return to Configuration from EZRider Manager.
