IP Master
Share a single IP address assigned by ISP within an internal LAN through
your EZRider.
Assumption
Use EZRider Window GUI manager
EZRider is using static IP address at WAN interface
The number of nodes on the LAN is less than 254.
The stations on the LAN has set up to obtain IP dynamically
Default IP address and Subnet mask is used in the LAN
Configuration
- Router configuration
From EZRider manager > Configuration > WAN configuration
1. Enter IP address, subnet mask, and gateway IP address.
2. Select Enable NAT (Network Address Translation)
From EZRider manager > Configuration > LAN configuration
1. Enter Primary IP address. Check Default IP Address and
Subnet Mask which would automatically assign router's IP address
and subnet mask as 192.168.1.1 and 255.255.255.0
2. Go to DHCP setting and check Enable DHCP. Lease time and
IP reservation can be set as needed.
- PC stations on the LAN
- Win95/98 machine
1. From Windows Start > Settings > Control Panel >
Double click network icon > TCP/IP (for Ethernet adapters) >
Properties.
2. Select the IP Address tab.
3. To enable dynamic addressing, click Obtain an IP Address
automatically.
4. Click the DNS Configuration tab and select Disable DNS.
If you previously entered any parameters, clear all pre-existing
settings.
5. Select the Gateway tab and then click Remove to clear
all pre-existing settings.
6. Click OK to exit TCP/IP Properties window and click OK
to exit Network window. When prompted, restart Win 95/98. If you
are not prompted to restart Win 95/98, do so manually.
* If specially required by your ISP, you may need to enter DNS information.
- Win NT machines
1. From Windows Start > Settings > Control Panel >
Protocols tab > TCP/IP (for ethernet adapters) > Properties
> IP address tab
2. Click Obtain an IP Address from DHCP Server.
3. Click the DNS tab and select Disable DNS. If you previously
entered any parameters, clear all pre-existing settings.
4. Click OK to exit Network Properties window. When prompted,
restart Win NT. If you are not prompted to restart, do so manually.
