Nicom Networks Selects ARESCOM To Provide High-Speed Internet Access To Hospitality Industry

Fremont, Ca -June 26, 2001- ARESCOM, INC., a global provider of broadband infrastructure equipment for telecommunication carriers, ISPs, and the hospitality marketplace, announced today that Nicom Networks, a nationwide in-building Wireless and DSL broadband service provider, has chosen ARESCOM's MTU (Multi-Tenant Unit) broadband access solution to deliver a high-speed Internet access solution to the hospitality marketplace.

Nicom Networks will be deploying ARESCOM's MTU CDS 6000 DSL Service Platform in conjunction with its companion CPE solutions to provide high-speed Internet access to business travelers staying at the 333-room Radisson Harbor View Hotel in San Diego. In the next year, Nicom plans to expand its deployment of ARESCOM's MTU broadband platform to up to 250 additional hospitality properties nationwide. The current package offered by Nicom Networks to Radisson Hotel is comprised of a complete array of ARESCOM's MTU broadband Internet access equipment, including the CDS 6100 Controller, CDS 6000 Concentrator modules, and CPE companion equipment installed in each guestroom.
