ARESCOM Introduces Dual Interface ADSL Modem, Allowing Users Flexibility
for Both USB and Ethernet.
ARESCOM'S Dual Interface Provides DSL High-Speed Internet Access
and shares resources between Multiple PCs.
Fremont, CA March 28, 2000-- ARESCOM, INC. today announced it
has developed a unique feature called Dual Interface which allows users
to either choose an Ethernet connection or USB ports connection for
ADSL service. Also, Dual Interface allows user to use both Ethernet
and USB port to connect Multiple PCs to share local resources on their
PC's - as well as the ADSL line at the same time.
ARESCOM's Dual Interface is a brand new feature on its NetDSL 800 line
of modems. Dual Interface comes equipped with both a USB (Universal
Serial Bus) and an Ethernet port, ideal for the Small office or home
office (SOHO) where users demand both ease-of-use and simplicity in
high-speed Internet access.
Ray Momut, Marketing Director of ARESCOM said, "The Dual Ethernet
and USB Interface feature will enable multiple PCs' to simultaneously
share resources and ADSL Internet access, giving users a great deal
of flexibility, greatly increasing SOHO productivity."
The NetDSL Dual Interface operates on any Internet browser and automatically
determines the quickest Internet access possible, delivering information
download speeds of up to 8Mbps - far faster than today's "high-speed"
56Kb modems.
NetDSL 800
The NetDSL 800 ADSL modem provides ultra-fast Internet access and bridging
functions through Ethernet and USB interfaces. NetDSL 800 has an extensive,
flexible easy-to-use network management capabilities through the choice
of: Windows® based Manager GUI, command line via Telnet, and Remote
Manager via pre-configured ATM PVC.
Telcos, ISPs and home users are pleased with the simple setup and ease-of-use
with ARESCOM's NetDSL 800 ADSL Modem/Bridge. The NetDSL 800 gives the
ADSL user connectivity with fantastic simplicity and the ISP or Telco
a cost effective solution.
Remote Manager
Both of the NetDSL products, NetDSL 1000 and NetDSL 800, can be monitored
by the Remote Manager. The Remote Manager is run through
a pre configured ATM PVC. The ease-of-use for this feature is an attractive
benefit for Telcos and service providers who can monitor their customer's
modems and setup to make sure it is configured properly. This reduces
the hassles and confusion between the user and the customer service
center. Management capabilities can also be run through remote Telnet.
