ARESCOM Introduces Next Generation ADSL
CPE Series at SUPERCOMM 2002
Fremont, CA -June 3, 2002- ARESCOM, INC., a global provider
of broadband access devices for telecommunication carriers, ISPs, SMEs
(Small and Medium Enterprises) and the hospitality industry, announced
today the introduction of its next generation NetDSL product line at
SUPERCOMM 2002 (Booth #10413) in Atlanta, GA from June 2-6, 2002.
The new NetDSL product series comprises the NetDSL 800 & 1000 NDS
(NetDSL Single-board) CPE Series, and the NetDSL 1200 Series ADSL Router.
The new ADSL CPE series are all extremely affordable, easy to install
and high-performance broadband devices, designed to meet the specific
needs of Telcos, ISPs and DSL CPE Distributors worldwide.
NetDSL 800/1000 NDS Series
The NetDSL 800/1000 NDS Series modem and router are equipped with a
more powerful CPU that enables higher throughput rates and longer distances.
Software feature enhancements in the new series include dynamic and
static NAT mapping methods, as well as IPSec pass-through to meet the
ever-increasing demands of security applications. Network management
features have also been expanded with the addition of a more user-friendly
and flexible management options, such as a new, cross-platform Web-based
GUI and SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) management capability.
In addition, the new NetDSL NDS CPE Series completely supports all current
International ADSL bandwidth standards, including Annex A, Annex B and
Annex C.
"The new NetDSL CPE product line again demonstrates our continued
leadership in the development and deployment of state-of-the-art DSL
equipment," said David Egan, VP Marketing. "We have experienced
strong demand for the NDS product from all of our major customers due
to its higher level of performance and streamlined design."
NetDSL 1200 Series
The NetDSL 1200 Series is an ADSL Router with a built-in 4-port switch
that allows multiple PCs to share high-speed DSL bandwidth. The built-in
4-port switch is a dual speed 10/100 Fast Ethernet switch which allows
users to segment their LAN to dramatically improve network performance
by reducing competition for bandwidth. This allows users to enjoy higher,
dedicated speeds for their gaming or multimedia connections. The NetDSL
1200 also features a more powerful CPU, enabling higher throughput rates
and longer distances. New software features include dynamic/static NAT
mapping methods, IPSec pass-through and Web-based GUI & SNMP management
options. The router works with any computer with 10/100Mbps Ethernet
interface, and is transparent to most OS, such as Windows, NT, Mac,
Unix and Linux.
A Next Generation Design
An outstanding feature of this next generation NetDSL product series
is its completely new, streamline look, which gives a truly contemporary
feel to the NetDSL 800/1000 NDS Series and NetDSL 1200 Series. The unique
case design is not only aesthetically-pleasing, but also allows users
to optimize their desk space via a novel space-saving option. Rubber
pads on one side of the case allow the CPE device to stand up in a vertical
position on the desktop. This allows home users to easily find space
for their NetDSL NDS CPE device, even on the most cluttered or full
desktop.
