ARESCOM Joins Forces with Atreus Systems™ to Provide Bundled Broadband Access and Services Solution To the Hospitality Market

Fremont, CA -October 8, 2001- ARESCOM, INC., a global provider of broadband infrastructure equipment for telecommunication carriers, ISPs, and the hospitality marketplace, announced today it has joined forces with Atreus Systems, Inc., a leading developer of intelligent broadband service creation and delivery platforms for service providers and carriers, to provide a bundled MHU (Multi-Hospitality Unit) broadband access solution to the North American hospitality market. The comprehensive hardware and software solution will include ARESCOM's MHU CDS 6000 DSL Service Platform and Atreus Systems' guestLINK™ product.

ARESCOM's MHU broadband service platform is comprised of an array of broadband infrastructure equipment, including CDS 6100 Controller modules and CDS 6000 Concentrator modules installed at the base of the hotel, and CPE companion devices in the room of each hotel guest. Atreus Systems will implement the Atreus guestLINK solutions to complement ARESCOM's existing MHU CDS 6000 DSL service Platform at each hospitality location. The guestLINK platform is equipped with all the technology needed to support a full suite of Internet-based hospitality services, a guest self-serve branded service portal, an administrative portal, and a pre-packaged set of Service Driver plug-in modules designed to target the specific needs of guests, hotels, airports, cruise lines and other hospitality environments.
